See ... it's amazing how the stress in dealing with Barry Bonds just melts away when you no longer have to manage him.

After four seasons, the San Francisco Giants on Monday cut ties with Felipe Alou, ending a relationship that dated back to 1958 when he joined the team as a player. Ironically, it was Alou who replaced Dusty Baker -- who hours earlier was told he would not be offered a new contract by the Cubs.
